Week 3- Privacy & Social Media, Spreadsheets

This weeks topics of Privacy and Social Media, as well as Spreadsheets can be greatly incorporated into my product, INTERSECT. The information I learned on these topics will greatly help me incorporate various ideas into my product. These technological concepts and ideas will play greatly into how the intersect works and how the public can use it.
The topic of privacy and social media play a very large role in the usage of the INTERSECT product. Privacy will be incorporated into the product when you log into social media sites to check in to what intersection you are at. All of your information on the INTERSECT will be private. Various users will not be able to see other users information. Also, users will not be able to see where you searched for directions to. This all plays into the social media aspect of the lesson, as well as my product. You will check-in to wherever you are on three main social media sites. These are Facebook, Twitter, and FourSquare. Social Media is greatly incorporated in this product and is the secondary function of my product.
Spreadsheets are going to mainly be used in the developing and improvement of the INTERSECT.  As well as the storing of various data. The people who log into to social media sites will be stored into a spreadsheet to better identify who our target audience is. The only personal information that will be stored is name, age, and gender and the user will provide this to us when they log on. Spreadsheets will also store the directions that people ask for. This will help us to better analyze what buildings people typically need directions for.  High times and Low times will also be stored in spreadsheets so that our company knows what days and during what time are people using the INTERSECT the most. It is important to incorporate the things learned during this lesson to better our product and enhance the experience of our users.
